There is a line that parents and kids have with sex. I don't know if you have a daughter but she would not like to know details of strippers, maybe the emotional termoil but not explicit details on what went on. just my thoughts

telling kids 'my story' how honest should i be?
by Aussie Oz ini am writing to my kids.
i have found it a good way to reach them with feelings at times and to let them know what is going on without emotions involved.. i have always told my kids that when and if they ever want to know what happened, ie; why i left their mother and the witnesses all they have to do is ask, and that i would be open and honest.. i feel that i am running out of time with them, esp my son who is so busy working, partying and chasing his girl that i don't see him like i used to.
so busy that he is not thinking and i am sure he will get baptised sooner than later to be in good with his jw girlfriend, and no asking is forthcoming.

Elder knocks on my door... couldn't see who it was and I opened it...
by Soldier77 inso an elder came to my door the other day in field circus.
i looked through the peephole to see who it was, but the way the door is situated against the sky in the background i couldn't see anything but a silhouette.
not to mention he was standing off to the side so to make it hard for anyone to see who was knocking.. so i open the door thinking it was my friend since he is the only jw that knows where i live.

by troubled mind inthis morning i sent a link to this site to a longtime friend .
she has recently stopped attending meetings and is being harrassed by the elders to talk to them .
her husband and children are not witnesses ,but her entire extended large family are jw.

Open relationships, polyamory and swinging
by techdotcom inhas anyone else, after leaving the restrictive rules of the jw world, tried having an open marriage, joining the 'lifestyle' of the swinger comunity?
we've been doing that for about 4-5 months now and it's been an interesting experience, in fact it's been a major distraction from the hell of rebuilding our lives outside the religion and our base of friends.

Could you ever go back?
by MrFreeze innot that i'm thinking about it, even for a brief nano-second, but something i have thought about is this, is there any way you could go back and not have people look at you with the stink eye?
after admitting your true feelings, how in the world could people ever look at you the same?
if you were in the situation of welcoming someone back, would you be able to look past the errors?

Elder School - Clandestine

during this holiday season our worthy elders will not be enjoying the fruit of their labours with their families but will be attending their training sessions conducted in great secrecy.
the existence of these meetings is no secret but the content of them certainly is.. in this country (the uk) i can study the law and the subtleties of precedent that can be argued in any accusation raised against me.

What is the longest you know of a Fader being out of the JW's and then DF'd?
by Think About It inwhat's the longest amount of time you know of where a fader was out of the jw's and df'd later?
probably alot of factors in this.
could depend on how visible you are in your kh's town, the personality of the boe, what your "sins" were, what your "status" use to be, etc.
